In the new documentary “The Man in the Machine,” Steve Jobs is portrayed on the big screen.
It becomes clear that he was tenacious in his vision, and this vision included a reality that others sometimes struggled with.
The path he chose wasn’t easy, but eventually the world embraced the vision. It wouldn’t have happened without that very human man sticking to his guns until he could deliver his ‘baby’ to the world.
He needed an army of engineers, designers, and a boatload of capital.
Luckily, in our business, the insurers and the non-insurance solutions we have are the ones who have already invested to produce what we sell. We don’t need engineers, designers, and capital. To succeed, each agent needs to envision. To define your vision of how to get LTC solutions into the hand of more people – who will do business with you.
The vision – to be a true LTC planner – is this month’s sales idea.
A true LTC planning specialist has something to offer every motivated prospect. And by something the Alliance means a private LTC funding solution. For every motivated prospect we mean not just those who are healthy and wealthy.
It’s been said that the most important sale is the one you make to yourself. So, are you SOLD on being a true LTC planner? In other words, a planning and solutions specialist – with tools at the ready? One who choses from literally more than a dozen solutions – available to even those who would be rejected for LTCI – and instead makes recommendations based on the health and finances of the prospect in front of you?
Once you have the vision, those sales will follow. Those individuals and families will be helped. And you’ll find that you ARE a true, total long term care planner.
And that’s something you can sell all day, every day.
P.S. If you’re not a fan of Jobs, perhaps you’ll like this quote from Zig Ziglar:
“Outstanding people have one thing in common: an absolute sense of mission.”
